Time Off Policy

🔹 1. Purpose

This policy outlines how paid and unpaid time off is earned, requested, and approved. It ensures fair and consistent practices across all roles.

🔹 2. Time Off Categories

PTO Accrual & Rollover Executives Accrual - 1.5 daysmonth, Max - 25 days, Rollover - Up to
🔹 3. Sick Leave
  • Applies to: All employees who work 80+ hours per year

  • Accrual: 1 hour per 30 hours worked (per MN law)

  • Max use: 48 hours/year

  • Unused sick time rolls over up to 80 hours total

 

Sick leave can be used for:

  • Illness or injury (employee or family member)

  • Mental health needs

  • Medical appointments

🔹 4. Holidays

🔹 5. Unpaid Time Off

Available to all employees with:

  • Manager approval

  • 3+ days’ notice preferred (emergency exceptions allowed)

  • Usage limits may apply based on business needs

🔹 6. Time Off Requests
  • Use Time Off Form to submit requests.

  • Minimum notice: 7 days for PTO / 1 day for unpaid.

  • Approval depends on:

    • Staffing levels

    • Time off history

    • Peak season workload

🔹 8. Policy Review and Adjustments

This policy may be adjusted seasonally or annually based on business needs and legal requirements. Employees will be notified on email of any changes.
